The Pug Masterplan is the fourth episode of The Pompous Doctor's first wave The Pug in the Machine.

Summary[]

The Doctor discovers the truth about Martin's purpose in the TARDIS during a confrontation with his best enemy: the Master.

Plot[]

After an angry phone call with his prior incarnation while in the TARDIS, The Doctor realises that Martin has a microphone and a transmitter attached to his collar. It turns out that The Master has been spying on the Doctor by using Martin (he was the original owner). He intends for a Giant Space Pug to eat the TARDIS, but by gloating beforehand he essentially warns the Doctor of the impending doom, giving them enough time to get out of harm's way.

Characters[]

The Doctor[]

It is established that The Doctor does not get on with his other selves.

Martin the Pug[]

When Martin's betrayal is made clear to The Doctor, he is branded an alien spy - the worst of all accusations. Martin doesn't seem particularly bothered, and is soon forgiven due to being completely ignorant of the entire conversation.

The Sorry Doctor[]

The Sorry Doctor recalls a previous encounter with The Pompous Doctor in which The Pompous Doctor stomps on The Sorry Doctor's foot before telling him that he is "too kind for his own good". The Doctor notes that he can't stand that incarnation.

The Master[]

It is revealed that The Master is Martin's original owner, and has been using Martin to spy on The Doctor this entire time.
