Davros is dying, and his final visitor also happens to be his mortal enemy.
The Doctor turns to up to visit Davros in hospital - who is dying of old age - so that he can primarily gloat. When Martin convinces The Doctor to keep visiting, however, they become good friends and bond as "BFF"s. However, after a game of wheelchair jousting, Davros finally starts to truly die. After Davros has died, the Daleks command The Doctor to mourn him. They Doctor obeys.
The Doctor learns to look past his disputes with Davros now that his battle is won and they become good friends.
Martin the PugEdit
Martin remains TARDIS-bound for this story, although he plays a key part in convincing The Doctor to spend more time with Davros before the Dalek creator finally dies.
In his old age, Davros is able to accept that he has been a "very bad man" even if he does not regret it.
The Daleks in this story are pink, because they've run out of colours to designate their rank with. These Daleks are forbidden to exterminate are destroy anything because it "distracts from progressive thinking" according to their Daleratic Oath.
